As we speak, as we breath, as we sleep and as we're all waking up to the sound of thoughts in our heads telling us to do this and that, telling us to get to where people will love us. We're still fighting with you all. We're still giving it all for the heartbeat in our life: music, not because it's the best band there is, but because it's a relation God put up for us, and when he's put something as strong as that together for us there's no way we can leave it! Oh no! If you keep a wondering how we're doing, we're still spinning wheels on the freeway in Norway. Last night we were honored to be back in Kragero with a soul children-choir and a couple of splendid musicians, playing a gig I really thought we had to wait for until we arrived heaven. And to ya'll, this will probably be the last update you'll read about the asphalt guys on this page. Our new web-page will be launched next week. Our kick-off into a new tour with a new drummer called: Øyvind Bergsaune, starts the 18th of September for real. So get a wiggle on and follow us:-)

Hey,Hey,Hey!
We're still alive, making new songs, rehearsing with different drummers and playing gigs only the three of us without as much as a rhythm -box behind us. Right now we're getting settled down in Oslo and we're doing some venues there before we move northwards for a tour. This no touring life that's been going on for a couple of weeks makes us tired, we need some tour air to breathe right now, some wind in our sails! Anyway, the critics received after releasing our record has been good, but not that good that we can't make the next record better. But I can tell you this one thing mates, a guy came up to me after last gig and told me he was worried sick for his little brother. His brother had started some light drug just for chilling out you know, but as the days slowly floats he tried whatever possible and it got worse. In helplessness he gave him this CD called " A hope no man can bind" in this case, A hope no drug can bind. He told me that he kept on playing the CD with a non stop continuity! He started being himself again and life was in sight in this pour little guys eyes. If no one felt anything after listening through this wide record, it was all worth the sparks in our little brothers eyes, the hope he seemed to have found. His older brother told us he was slowly climbing out of drughell and he really believed he would make it. Let's keep this brothers in our prayers!
See you! Joakim, Humming People

Howdy Partners!
Long time, no update. Our schedule has been more tight than ever this last few weeks. All of us, our management: Roar and Pål, our record label: Darren Bowls, and the designer of the record: Frank Bjaanes, have been working with the speed of a bullet to be able release our record the 19th of june. And everybody, me made it! Last night we had a release-party we will never forget! Never! With seldom good help from our beloved friends we really pulled it off last night.. We removed cars, bicycles, garbage containers and sat up a stage in a backyard parking in Oslo. We were all in a mood you will heft to fight for, ready for a kick off into the new and unknown. Unfortunately, when so many people are working in the service of God, the man downstairs gets pretty darn aggressive, and starts putting hell up against us. So although sun and clear blue skies was what we had reason to expect, extremely hard rain sent us back from finished to ground zero a couple of times. . With every reason to weep and just give it all up, the Lord had something slightly different in mind. People didn't seem to get affected by being soaking wet from top to bottom! So we kept on trying, kept on laughing and some of us even started dancing. . So at eight o' clock, we opened up the door for all of the friends who showed up on this rainy day. We started our concert, and we felt Gods presence in a very special way! The way he just came and gave a warm twist to the rather cold and wet circumstances.
Satan, why are you so afraid that people might listen to this record? Maybe you'll loose some of yours?
To all of you who just bought the record and to all who's going to:
When life gets rough and you're struggling to get through the day, a hope is lit up for you like a candle in the night. It's not really big, but big enough to light up the whole room. Everyone, a hope's a thing no man can bind.
Order Humming People's debut record "A hope no man can bind" here: www.palsman.no, under "artist". iTunes release in 3/4 weeks.
Be blessed,
Joakim

Hello.
The spring has definitely brought life back to Norway. The streets are filled with people, wearing light clothes and shades, smiling to one another and happy that the cold and dark winter has lost its grip. Our Team Humming tour is now over. It's been a year rich on experiences, both good and bad. It's been a year of joy, but also frustration. It's simply been another year of living. And each year makes us stronger, as long you keep your head above water. Every challenge is a friend, if you refuse to give up.
Today we gathered at our managements office in Oslo, laying down thoughts and plans for the future. The album we've been holding on to for way too long now has finally reach it's last hours. The release date is set to some day in June. It will be possible to buy it here on our website, in iTunes, at our concerts and in some music shops around Norway. We're also working on getting it out on Spotify. More info about that will be posted here soon. We hope you are as exited as we are.
We'll appear on stage at different festivals this summer as well. Check out concert section for more details. Hope too see you out there.
Take care you all, and keep on spreading the word about Humming People to your friends and dear ones. We're deeply thankful for your support.
-Chris.

We got that down!
How are you all doing? We just wanted to let you all know that we are pretty much doing alright. Off course there's bad times as well as the good times. Right now our schedule couldn't been tighter. Cause we've arrived that point of the road where it's time for some of us to go separate ways. It's feels right, but at the same time it's a hurting disaster. Cause Runar Mr. Drummer and together with me, starter of this humming band has desited to quit. He feels like it's time to put some effort in different kinds of stuff, not only music. He wants to do an effort for the youth back in his hometown, Toten. And this situation leaves us a whole lot of serious work. We're now testing drummers from the south to the north to find someone good enough to replace him. The task is challenging, but no one ever said it was easy.
The credibility goes to Runar, for taking a brave and tough choice!
As you all probably understand this have been heavy for us, and our smiling faces have been filled sadness. But we will never give up, we're once again climbing to reach a new mountain top. We have no idea what the new top contains, but we sure know it's not the last top. Lately we've had some great concerts and once again our regards goes to the best audience you can possibly find. Especially to the graduates we've had concert together with, WE LOVE YOU! We got that down. 08.May.09

Ladies and gents. We have just arrived on Irish soil. I'm sitting on a bus bound for Ballymena. It's 10.00 p.m, dark outside and the spring rain weeps gently from the sky. I've bought a box of Tic Tac to enjoy on my two hour bus trip. I tried my first Tic Tac last summer in America, and I've been a fan ever since. My only problem is that Norway doesn't sell this candy, which is most likely made in heaven. So each time I get a chance of buying Tic Tac, I buy a lot! :) So here I am, riding a bus, eating Tic Tac and writing this update while the minutes on my laptop battery quickly escapes down towards zero.
We're really looking forward to spend some days down here on one of the British Islands. Our schedule is kind of open, which is great. A lot of time to just hang out, see the country and chill with our good friend Philip Simpson. We'll put out some photos both here, on Facebook and on Twitter, so stay tuned for some close up monitoring on our lives. We'll try to do some more text updates on here as well :)
Next week we'll be headed out for our last period of the Team Humming tour. The concerts section will soon be updated, so stop by a show if our schedule fit yours.
Take care you all!

Friends!
How are you doing?
The easter vacation just arrived and this will be the first easter in three years The Humming People won't be on the road in Russia. . Kind of sad, but at the same time we all appreciate a week off to do whatever we wanna do.
And Russia, see you soon anyway!
We now got time to do some lovely skiing in the woods, which we love so much. And me and Chris also managed to pull off a little trip to Ireland to visit our great friend Philip Simpson. A manager that leads the promotional agency, Atig.
This last few weeks, cruising back and forth in Norway has been great. Just had a couple of gigs in Kristiansand, southern Norway. Along with small and bigger crowds that really gave it all, I believe we created some magic together?
Amazing cooperation friends, that's really all that matters.
Exiting times ahead. Great venues are coming up, and we're just about finishing working on our debut album.
These days we're working on details that will hopefully take us from amateur to who knows, maybe a pro band?
A lot of stuff needs to be settled! As mentioned earlier, our second year on tour as a part of the team for the seaside festival are getting closer to the end. But please, know this. We're gonna keep on touring like crazy anyway, to spread the word about God, cause he's so much bigger than ourselves . . .
How many roads must a man walk down before you can call him a man?
I'm sitting alone in our car, outside a children's school in Arendal. A city on the south coast of Norway. The brilliant musician Thomas Dybdahl is singing beautiful tones out of our horrible car stereo. The end of our Team Humming tour is closing in, and there are not many gigs left before we take a short vacation. Spring is here, and it makes me smile. The cold and white winter has been long, and I think we all are ready for the season where life once again cuts through the ice.
God is great, life is good, the gigs are wonderful, and all the fantastic people we meet along the way keeps us going strong. Our slim/thin bodybuilding bodies are exited, and can't wait to get the record out. Every day is one step closer to the release. We're counting sheep, trying to short down and sleep our way to the finish line.
Anyway, I've started working on my own custom lap steel. I found a cool site where Martin Koch, a great guitar builder and writer explains how to build your own lap steel. I'll throw out some photos of my guitar when I'm done.
Besides that there's not much to mention. Check out the new video, but sorry, no subtitles for the english speakin' people.
Blessings

From one computer to another...
Here's what's new with the Humming fellows of Norway. The upcoming album is now done recorded, and left to do is mixing and mastering. The release will be sometime during this spring/early summer. We'll write more about that soon. Anyway, our last recording session was done here in Norway. Our beautiful producer and good friend Darren Bowls flew over and helped us lay down the last tracks. We're really exited about the songs that will soon be available for you to hear. It will be a wide record, with music from different genres, music with different emotions and expressions. Hopefully a record for the people, both young and old, but most of all,- a record for the kingdom of God! That's what out hearts desires, that our music can be a taste of heaven, a glimpse of Gods overflowing grace, a feeling of the undying hope that no man can bind, but also a taste of life, which means pain, sorrow, joy and happiness. So let's see how it goes. We can't wait to let you guys hear it!
Along with the album, some new stuff will happen here on this page, and on myspace as well, so stay tuned for a fresh new look! :)
Now a days are touring days. The last sprint of the Team Humming tour is enclosing, and that breaks our hearts, but hey! A new tour is coming up, so there's no need for tears! I guess that's all for now. We'll be back with more news in a short while. In the mean while, take a look at our film from our visit in the northern parts of Norway. When you're done watching it will probably be a new update out here...that's about how long this movie is ;) and for all of our friends from abroad, the film has english subtitles!

Hey everyone!
Don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys.. Don't let them pick guitars and drive those old trucks, let them be doctors and lawyers instead! They'll never stay home and their always alone....
We've recently been out driving our trucks looking at some new guitars.
We're never home and even though we do have each other, we sometimes feel alone.
I guess we'll never be doctors and lawyers.
But to all of you lawyers, doctors, carpenters and so on. We're so thankful for the precious work you're doing.
We could never, at any cost done it as good as you do. And we're so glad you got the talent and education!! :)
We all got gifts, they're just different.
We had to leave pretty Alta after two weeks of pure goodness. We met so many great people, we went to a Kristian Park consert and that was really inspiring. Thanks for sharing such a good concert with us. We even met a great magician that amazed us with his magic. Man, could you please call us and reveal some of your tricks? 'Cause we're sitting here, pulling our hair, desperately trying to figure out some of your stuff....and we can't stand the curiosity anymore!
But anyway guys, we're now in Kirkenes. So close to Russia it smells Russian.
And it's really freezing.. You can't imagine!!
Just a little update on what the guys do when we have some time off:
-John's watching a stupid romantic comedy movie.. A cliché.
- Runar's talking to his GF on the phone.
-Chris's is writing music.
-And I'm writing this messy update and making sure the humming kids have what they need.
Then a question for you:
Who of us are planting seeds?
HUGS FROM THE NORTH FACE!
"For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens" 2.Corinthians, Chapter 5- verse 1.

Friends ;)
We're still laughing, we're every once in a while crying... We're off course never joking. John's hiding out every time he's weeping. We all miss our mothers... The mother instinct wakes up when we're that far away from home for such a long time.... But anyway people. We're having a blast up north, playing a couple of gigs nearly everyday. Tomorrow our destination is Alta, and we're really looking forward to hang out there for a couple of weeks. We still call ourselves a rock band, though we got to admit that the country songs is hunting us down like deer hunters with blood on their teeth. A new country song is now in our in our repertory, it's called "Ford Engine Soul" and in fact it's a song about me Joakim comparing myself to an old Ford Sierra I once had. I loved it like craaazy.. I mean, I loved it like Humming Peoples loves to eat new boiled hotdogs. Craaazzzy!! Even though I loved and cared for my Sierra very much, it went down on me everytime I really needed it to work. It might a had something to do with that I didn't treat the wheeler with the respect Henry Ford hoped for it to have. I forgot to give it oil... So it kind of died on me one late night, and it made me walk hours to reach my very destination. But no matter what happened, I never gave my Ford up! And that's the point here. I had a guy put a new engine in it, and it started rolling again, like a newborn baby. Whenever I stop rolling, God's putting a shiny new engine in me all the time, and then my wheels keeps on spinning. He ain't giving me up, oh no, no! Hallelujah!
The old man turns off the radio, Says: Where did all the old songs go? Kids sure play funny music these days, and they sure do play it in the strangest ways! It seems like the whole darned world's gone wild. It was peaceful back when I was a child. Well, man, could it be that the girls and boys are trying to be heard above your noise? And the lonely voice of youth cries: What is truth?
People around the world: Keep on playing your noisy grooves, that's the only thing that moves.
Hugs and kisses from The Humming country cowboys. Eat your fish and drink your soap.

Have a nice evening ladies, cows and gents.
My heart is getting put together again, after we guys in HP had to leave each other for a christmas vacation. (at least some of us had to) We're finally back cruising, on our way up to the very top of Norway. Way up north, where no man has ever seen slim jeans. The mood is set to happy and the clouds are taking a step back to let Team Humming rule the roads with their smiling hearts. We're traveling these narrow roads, longing to spread the Gospel, desperately trying to come to our senses, to be something special, to break the spell of typical. . So, what should we do to break the spell? - Tell about how much success we’ve reached this last couple of months as a band? Dress up in fancy suits and tell you all about our bag filled with money? Or just be the men we are and tell you about the love of Christ? I think the last one would be pretty special… The amount of people really being who they are, are getting shorter everyday. Being YOU is unique! So I guess that’s what we’re gonna do. Have a good time, laugh of our foolish jokes and just be ourselves. And if you are one of those who are in the neighborhood when we’re in the Northern parts of Norway, be friendly and stop by our gig and let us share a bad joke and a smile worthwhile.
TNT!
Walking with God, makes us dynamite.
Be blessed!
Hugs, HP (Joakim)

Regards from the control room in the studio. Right now, Joakim and producer Darren are working on lyrics and vocals on a brand new song which will be featured on the record. I'm sitting in the background, listening and giving some feedback on their work. The recording is going great, and we're having a wonderful time. We'll be headed back home to Norway on Tuesday, which will be both sad and fun. The sad part is leaving the US and recording session, the fun part will be to get back on tour. The last 5 months of the Team Humming program is waiting, and we're really exited about it. Hope to see you out there. Take care friends. (Chris)

Hello Folks! Whazzz up??? Oh yeah, that's right.. new years eve's is up. Isn't that great? Just wanted to let you all know that life's been good for the Humming guys during the big almighty x-mas celebration. The half of us are celebrating christmas on the fields of gold back home in Norway, while the remaining two fellows are celebrating it with our producer Darren Bowls in the studio in US. Our debut album is getting closer to it's finish line for every day that rolls by. And yes, you're right...We are very exited about it! And we shurely hope that the record can please more hearts then our own. We hope this record can reach out to a crowd bigger than ourselves, and maybe even encourage someone, or light up a situation that's really dark and hopeless. Music is a good thing... Music with God inside it is a even bigger thing! We're putting God in the spotlight on this record, believing that it can make a difference in someone's life.
And just a tiny little question for the two or three of you that's reading this :) What should we call the record? The horseless cowboys, maybe? At least that's our suggestion. . haha! Please write suggestions in our guestbook, if you got any!
Hope you're eating your hot dogs and that you're doing well.
Peace in the living room! HAPPY NEW YEAR!! (Joakim)
