Regards from the control room in the studio. Right now, Joakim and producer Darren are working on lyrics and vocals on a brand new song which will be featured on the record. I'm sitting in the background, listening and giving some feedback on their work. The recording is going great, and we're having a wonderful time. We'll be headed back home to Norway on Tuesday, which will be both sad and fun. The sad part is leaving the US and recording session, the fun part will be to get back on tour. The last 5 months of the Team Humming program is waiting, and we're really exited about it. Hope to see you out there. Take care friends.

Hello Folks! Whazzz up??? Oh yeah, that's right.. new years eve's is up. Isn't that great? Just wanted to let you all know that life's been good for the Humming guys during the big almighty x-mas celebration. The half of us are celebrating christmas on the fields of gold back home in Norway, while the remaining two fellows are celebrating it with our producer Darren Bowls in the studio in US. Our debut album is getting closer to it's finish line for every day that rolls by. And yes, you're right...We are very exited about it! And we shurely hope that the record can please more hearts then our own. We hope this record can reach out to a crowd bigger than ourselves, and maybe even encourage someone, or light up a situation that's really dark and hopeless. Music is a good thing... Music with God inside it is a even bigger thing! We're putting God in the spotlight on this record, believing that it can make a difference in someone's life.

And just a tiny little question for the two or three of you that's reading this :) What should we call the record? The horseless cowboys, maybe? At least that's our suggestion. . haha! Please write suggestions in our guestbook, if you got any!

Hope you're eating your hot dogs and that you're doing well.

Peace in the living room! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Hey! Our last gig in 2008 is done and we are now back in our lovely homes, getting the last preparations done before the great Christmas eve. We'd like to wish you all a Merry Merry Christmas and a joyful holiday! Thank you so much for all the support through this year. It has been an awesome year for us in so many ways, and all of you guys out there have participated to make that happen. Next week we'll be traveling back to the US to finish our album, which will be released sometime during the coming spring/early summer. We are really exited about it, and hope you all will like it! Hope to see you out on the road next year, and let's make the year 2009 even better than 2008! God bless you all!

Warm hugs, and peaceful thoughts from Joakim, Runar, John and Chris.

Here's a video from our last studio session in America. Most of the talking is in Norwegian...sorry... :)

Boom! Its time for an update....Life is wonderful, and so is the time we just went into, Advent. Maybe the most exiting time of the year...? At least I think so :) Everyone is exited, and the only thing that fills our minds is Christmas, and all the joy that comes with it. I would guess most of us can agree on this: Its hard to NOT love Christmas. The growing excitement, the green lightning trees, the streets filled with stars and the smell of cookies, Santa Claus, presents and family celebration and awesome food...I mean...what can possibly be better?

But the fact is, - Christmas has turned in to be a lot of bad things as well, unfortunately. Many in todays society feels the economical pressure and anxiety, and the Christmas tide is not a stopper for that. The celebration is costing more and more money. We are setting higher and higher standards for our presents, we are having expensive vacations and working and shopping till we drop. All these things are contributing in its own way to make us all lose the joy and passion we should have for Christmas. And hey, there is more...People who are alone in this world will most likely feel more lonely as well. All they see and hear about is people, gathering with their closest to celebrate the wonderful holiday. It's not exactly easing their pain of loneliness. Children who's got parents with alcohol problems, may be worried and scared to see their mom or dad drunk. I could go on...The Christmas holiday has become a celebration beyond its original plot, in many ways.

I'm not trying to ruin our beautiful Christmas mood here, but I think it's important to keep our family and friends in our prayers. This time of year should be all about spreading joy, hope peace and love. Let's not forget the reason why we celebrate. God gave us the greatest Christmas present we could ever get, so therefore, let there be a flood of love and care towards the ones who really need it. Let there be an endless procession of righteous living, where we encourage each other to do well and what is right. I believe that action speaks louder than words, but i thought I would write this anyway :) Be a difference, and remember, LOVE is the movement.

Stay safe and have a happy, merrily Christmas!

Chris, HP

Our two cars are still on the road, without scratches and with air in all eight tires. Our gitars on the other hand looks like crap. They are getting more scratches, dents and crooked for each night we play. Isn't that nice? :) We love it! All for the show, you know! Last friday we played in Christer's home church, back in Oslo. It was an awesome gig. Thanks a bunch to all of you who came out and supported us. You guys made our evening shine like the summer sun! We'll be spending the coming week in Stavern. Rehearsing some new material and maybe write some new songs, who knows. Anyway, it will be a relaxing week, which is nice and necessary once in a while :) And for those of you who like to watch our short home made videos, please check this one out aswell. Hopefuly a smile will appear on your face. That is our goal with these videos. We wish you pure joy and happiness in the upcoming week! Be blessed!

Hello hello! The Humming cowboys are breathing, and right now located in Stavanger. One of the bigger cities on the west coast of Norway. Yesterday was a great day. We climbed a mountain called the "Preacherchair" (directly translated from Norwegian) It's a stunning veiw at the top, and the mouintains plunges straight down into the fjord. It's quite a sight, and you feel kind of small when you are laying on the edge, looking down. The same night we played a concert, whitch went great! We had a lot of fun. Thanks to all of you who came out and supported us. We really appreciate it :) Next up on our schedule is Kickoff in Sandnes. Hope to see all the upcoming graduates of Stavanger there. People, stay safe and enjoy the weekend! See you soon...

Woha! It's about time these guys put out an update. Our tour life is still a buch of fun! Last weekend was a little different, from what we usually do. We were hired in to be the "house band" for the Children Gospel Festival, here in Norway. The band chief for the event was our good friend, and great keyboard player Jörund Almäs. The festival gathers children from all over Norway, and the kids gets jammed together on a big tribune, and "voila", there you have Norways largest, and biggest sounding children choir. We had so much fun, playing the children songs, and joking around with the kids. Besides that, we've had a great gig in Brevik, just recently and now we're located in the capitol, Oslo, leading worship on the general assembly for the christian school teams of Norway.

Last night we had for the first time a "Humming Worshop night", whitch means adjusting and most of all, being creative with our instruments, using all the help we can possibly find in a traditional workshop. The pictures below will describe how our night was...Next week, we'll be headed for the west coast of Norway. Hope you get the chance to catch one of our shows!

Ok, folks! That's all for now. Take care. Bye bye, then...

A video from our little studio session in Pals living room. Enjoy!

14.oct.08

So, what's been up lately? Well, we've been in the studio, laying down some tracks for the album, which turned out pretty nice. We've been hanging out with friends, rehearsing a couple of new songs and played a show in Drammen. Today is the day we head out for a new month of touring. A lot of fun gigs are coming up, and we can't wait to meet you guys out there!

We have also a sad part of your news update this time. Our dear beloved friend, Thomas Skaar past away last week. He was the most talented sound engenieer we have ever had the chance to work with. We are so thankful for the years we got to have him as our friend. He was a gift to our lives. Thomas will always be in our memories. May you find rest in your fathers arms. We'll see you again, pal. Oh, what a beautiful day that will be! :)

Juba! The tour is rolling, and we're enjoying every moment of it. Last week we did some shows up in beautiful Trondheim, now we're back home for a short fall break. Our time off the road is being spent on working in the studio with the upcoming record. Our producer Darren Bowls came all the way from Portland, OR to put down some tracks with us here in Norway. The recording is taking place in Pal Tveds' livingroom, our manager that is. The gear was set up yesterday, and things are now ready to be recorded. We're really exited about it, especially the awesome sound of Pals living room! :) We'll be back on the road again shortly. Hope you all get the opportunity to catch one of our shows. We'd really like to meet you along the way! Thanks for checking out this site! :)

Best wishes from all of us in HP.
